There are a few standouts when it comes to choosing what I love most about working for Medibank. I love the variety in my role, working across the different areas of the business and I am very proud to work for an organisation that is constantly looking for ways to improve people’s health as well as their access to it. In terms of culture, I very much enjoy working with our team especially with the friendships and support that is present every single day.

‘For Better Health’ for me means finding the balance in my everyday life. This means exercising whenever I get the chance, enjoying delicious cake every now and then, and making sure to take time to switch off and spend time with the people I love.

Doing the job that I do and being surrounded by the amazing culture that we have, I find that ‘i question + imagine better’.

There are so many possibilities to choose from if I were ever offered an all-expenses paid, two-week holiday but I would love to go see the Northern Lights, pat some penguins, and go on a traditional dog sleigh. After some time in the cold weather, I would make sure to stop off somewhere warm on the way home.

A theme song for my life would definitely be I’ll Be There For You by The Rembrandts.

The best thing about working at Medibank is that we have an extremely supportive culture and team, which makes each day fly by! Every day is such a joy to be surrounded by people who motivate and offer guidance every step of the way. It’s so nice to be a part of a team that share the same purpose and are working together to achieve the same goals.

‘For Better health’ to me means working towards a balanced lifestyle and this can mean anything from your physical to mental well-being. This also means having stability at home and at work, making sure that there is balance in life, which is very important.

At Medibank, ‘i connect + celebrate better’ and have made some wonderful friendships. These people have and continue to help me to grow and develop not just in my career but as a person. We are one big team and celebrate our successes as one! Collaboration is a big thing for me and it’s definitely the supportive culture Medibank brings.

If given a free trip, I would go to Glastonbury festival and run amuck in the mud.  Listening to live music to me is life and is what I enjoy the most. After that I would go rest up on a beach in Spain, soaking up some sunshine to recover from all the dancing. A little TLC never hurt anyone!

And my current life theme song would be ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ by Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell

I love that Medibank provides amazing opportunities. In the past I have been given opportunities to be involved in several projects including the work that has been done around our Mental Health, Triage Nurse and Doctor on Call programs, which was very rewarding.

‘For Better Health’ focuses on work/life balance, which leads to better physical and mental health. Medibank provides flexible working times, which is great when I want to participate in lunch time sports and the ability to work from home when I need.

The environment within the careers team is both friendly and fun. The team is a pleasure to be around with and we always try and ‘out dad-joke’ each other, which leads to some terrible puns. With all this practice, I can happily say that now ‘i pun + relax’ better.

Hands down, an all-expenses paid, two-week holiday would be spent on going to see the soccer World Cup, wherever that may be at the time! There’s no question about it.

Don’t Stop Believing by Journey has to be my chosen theme song. It’s a song I’ve always enjoyed and it always puts me in a positive frame of mind.

The people that I work with at Medibank are the reason why I find it so easy to go to work every day. The culture and the positive atmosphere makes you want to get out of bed in the morning. My favourite part of the team would have to be the laughs. No matter how busy we all are, we always make time to have some fun during the day and make some jokes.

This fun culture helps me live out our purpose that is ‘For Better Health’. To be healthy means to be happy. Making healthier choices daily helps me perform at my best and have enjoyment in and outside of work.

I came into my role on a contract and had to learn to adapt quickly to the Medibank ways. Alongside this, I’m also always coming up with new ideas to make life easier. I am drawn to finding new ways to work efficiently, so from these, I would say that ‘i adapt + invent better’.

I would love to go back to NYC so if I was fortunate enough to receive an all-expenses paid, two-week holiday, that’s exactly where I would spend it. A cab ride straight to Central Park to grab a hot dog from one of the stands and just lay down in the park to enjoy the surroundings is ideal. I would then head to Soho for a chilled dinner and moving onto the Meatpacking district for a fun night. That sounds perfect to me!

The song that would be playing in the background as I play out this New York trip would be ‘Live Your Life’ by T.I & Rihanna.

Finland, I would go to the Kakslauttanen Artic Resort and stay in a glass top igloo to enjoy the Northern Lights. I’d also enjoy a range of winter sporting activities.

Walking on Sunshine.

I love Medibank Place’s amazing workspace! We spend at least eight hours a day in the office, so it’s important to feel comfortable and the variety certainly helps. They say change is as good as a holiday, so working here can be like a holiday every day!

To me, mindfulness ties in with our purpose of ‘For Better Health’. Whether it be around what you eat or what you do, it’s about making sure you create habits that assist you towards better health.

Since starting working with Medibank, I’ve learnt that with this amazing company and team, ‘i encourage + celebrate better’.

A free holiday? You would definitely find me making my way over to South America and tackling the Machu Picchu trail with Daryl Braithwaite’s ‘Horses’ playing along the way. That would be one amazing experience in my life!

One of the best things about working at Medibank would have to be the people that I work with. They are some of the most ambitious, creative and driven people I’ve ever met and they inspire me to be better every day.

‘For Better Health’ to me means a better quality of life. Making sure the body and mind are healthy, and having a good balance of work and play all contribute to this. Working at Medibank allows me to make sure all of these factors in my life are balanced and because of that, I find that ‘i innovate + advise better’.

An all-expenses paid, two-week holiday for me would involve as much retail therapy as possible in Italy, Paris, London and New York. In between shopping would be visits to art galleries and some sightseeing before jumping back on a plane flying into Bora Bora for some much needed R&R.

You can’t go wrong with having Bohemian Rhapsody as a theme song!

What I find as the best thing about working for Medibank is the people I work with. The workplace culture and my team play a crucial part in how much I enjoy my job. I work with a team of highly capable and passionate people who all work hard but we also have a lot of fun doing it. Another reason I love working for Medibank is the flexibility I have. I work in the settings that get the best outcomes for me and my team – whether that be in the office in a creative and collaborative space or from my own home office.

Medibank’s purpose ‘For Better Health’ is about whole of life wellness. It’s about having the time to take my dogs Molly and Charlie for walks and being present with my family.

Knowing when to turn off work mode and focus on my personal life is very important to me. I have to be able to switch off in order to do my best at my job. By making sure I do this, I find that ‘i deliver + balance’ better.

An all-expenses paid, two-week holiday would be amazing. If given the chance, I would definitely head to the Maldives with my husband Chris and our little girl Millie. It would be the perfect place to relax and get Millie’s passport stamp collection started!

Some things in life are just not worth worrying about so if I were to choose a theme song, it would definitely be ‘Hakuna Matata’.

At Medibank, there is this amazing opportunity to keep the balance between my career and life outside of work. The flexibility that is offered to me has resulted in a better and healthier lifestyle for myself as well as my family. Working at Medibank, I have the chance to let my imagination and creativity come out to play, and on a daily basis, I see my team coming into work with such love for their jobs, which to me is one of the most inspiring things in a workplace.

‘For Better Health’ to me stands for being happy and making sure to look after yourself. This means always making it a priority to check that both mind and body are at their best. Being a part of Medibank, I am encouraged to do so and because of this, I can happily say that ‘i create + innovate better’.

Asia is a place I have spent many years travelling back to and exploring the ins and outs of so if I were given the chance of an all-expenses paid, two-week holiday, I would jump on the next flight and head to Positano, Italy with my partner Colin and the kids. Our time there would involve nothing but relaxation and sun loving while enjoying the most delicious food and even better wine!

I wouldn’t say this is my theme song but that Italian holiday would definitely be accompanied by James Vincent McMorrow’s track, Cavalier (Dpat Remix). It has that awesome summer vibe to it!

It’s been said before and I’ll say it again but what I love about working for Medibank is the people and the culture! There is genuine care and compassion present in the workplace, along with the ongoing efforts that both my team and my people leader go to in order to ensure we succeed and reach our goals. The opportunities for development, challenges and growth that are on offer to me at Medibank makes it an even better organisation to work for.

‘For Better Health’ stands for everything – physical, mental and emotional. It comes down to the actions we take as individuals to feel ‘better’. For me, it’s about balance, whether it be work/life balance or exercising and eating well, while still enjoying life’s indulgences.

If an all-expenses paid, two-week holiday was offered to me, I’d definitely head to France and Italy! Rome and the Amalfi Coast would be first before heading over to Monaco for the Grand Prix. Afterwards, I’d finish off in Paris to live my best Parisian self – drinking some French wine while people watching. C’est la vie!

A theme song for me? Without a doubt, it would be Independent Women by Destiny’s Child (my favourite girl band growing up and still is today…SLAY!)

The culture at Medibank is incredible. The people that I work with and the values of the organisation are a big part of what motivates me to get up in the morning and go to work and do my best at my job. I’m part of a hardworking team that works extremely well together but at the same time, remembers to have fun through it all.

‘For Better Health’ refers to complete wellness – physical, mental and emotional health. I also think it means to care for yourself and the people around you. It covers your own personal health and well-being but also extending support and guidance to those around you.

I find that ‘i develop + innovate better’ because I’m always looking for continuous improvement opportunities and enjoy thinking of new ways of doing things. I believe that a little refresh of things every now and then, here and there helps keep us motivated to do our jobs the best we can.

A free holiday would bring me to Italy and seeing as much of the amazing country as I have time to! On the top of my list are Venice, Rome, Florence and the Amalfi Coast, trying out all the delicious pastas and pizza I can eat.

What’s a life without the FRIENDS theme song, “I’ll Be There for You’ by The Rembrandts?!

I love the challenge of working in a diverse and complex organisation. Working for a company that reflects the care and innovation that it shows for its customers and to its employees is extremely rewarding and inspiring.

I see ‘For Better Health’ as the holistic approach to physical and mental health, for a balanced and better life. It’s looking after yourself in all aspects to make sure that your mind and body are working at its healthiest level.

At Medibank, I feel “i create + innovate better”. I’m motivated to make sure we are always looking for ways to do what we do better. Whether that means we need to start from scratch or refine old processes, I want to make sure we put in the effort rather than just accepting the status quo.

With a free two week holiday, I would pack up our bags and take the family to New York for a week of sight-seeing and indulgence, followed by a private jet to France to watch the Tour de France or a big boat race. All of this with Prince’s ‘Let’s Go Crazy’ playing throughout.

I’ve only been with Medibank a short time and I’ve heard it said time and time again but one of the best things about working there is the culture. I spend my days with an incredible team that is driven, passionate and fun. These people and the work we do constantly remind me the importance of our purpose “For Better Health”. To me, that means my overall wellbeing – mentally, emotionally and physically. It means giving each area equal focus to make sure that they’re all at their best. It’s also very important to know the balance between work and play – when to switch off work mode and relax.

“i work + create better” is how I would describe myself. Medibank allows me to do my job in an environment that works for me, whether that be in the office with my colleagues, in a private room or at my home office. This flexibility for me encourages creative flow resulting the best work I can give. An all-expenses paid two-week holiday for me would have to start with a few days in the Philippines to visit relatives, over to Greece for wines during sunsets overlooking the never-ending ocean, onto Spain for all the Paella I can eat and Flamenco I can dance, chill out in breathtaking Iceland and take in the beauty of the Northern Lights, and finish off in New York for some well-deserved shopping. It seems like a packed two weeks but would be totally worth it!

I believe in letting go of things that don’t benefit your life in a positive way so if I were to choose a song right now, it would be – Don’t Worry, Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin.

There are a lot of things I love about working at Medibank. It’s such a great company to work for with great values and a fantastic purpose. In saying this though, what I love the most about my job is the quality and the attitude of the people. I’m surrounded by colleagues who collaborate extremely well together to achieve a common goal.

For me, ‘For Better Health’ means really considering what’s good for me. Physically, mentally and emotionally, it all counts. It’s taking the time to think about my choices before jumping into any decisions to make sure that whatever it is will be good for me overall.

Since becoming a part of Medibank, I’ve found that ‘i humanise + energise better’. I feel I’m able to transform things for the better and feel invigorated in all aspects of my life.

How great would it be to win an all-expenses paid, 2 week holiday?! If I ever find myself in that position, I would definitely head over to Japan and walk with no destination in mind, just to explore and observe. During my breaks from exploring, I would eat and eat and then eat some more.

My theme song? There’s no questions about this – ‘Mmm Bop’… Hanson rocks.

What gets me out of bed in the morning is the knowledge that I will be going into a workplace where I have the opportunity to collaborate with a motivated and inspired team. I also treasure the fact that I am part of an organisation with values that align so closely to my own. Medibank’s focus on inclusion, whilst driving better outcomes for our customers, is inspiring.

‘For Better Health’ to me means an inclusive focus on moving towards better health as individuals, as an organisation and as a community. It’s about each of us evaluating and taking personal responsibility for our own holistic wellbeing. It’s about the small, achievable behaviours I can incorporate into my daily life that will improve my health for the long term.

I find that “i influence + create better” at Medibank because I’m always looking at the bigger picture and working to link the little details to that premise. One of the many things I love about my role is that I get to interact with lots of different people from across the business and I look for opportunities to advocate for Medibank’s values in every interaction. I value creativity, because I think it allows us to find fresh, innovative approaches to the everyday tasks.

I would definitely sail around the Greek Isles with my partner if given an all-expenses paid two week holiday! Sun, sand, surf and seafood – what could be better than that?! That would be my ultimate holiday.

Right now, my life theme song has to be something from the Pulp Fiction soundtrack – most likely Jungle Boogie by Kool and the Gang.
