Employee Retail Conference

At Medibank, the culture of our Retail employees revolves around empowerment, quality, teamwork and fun. In May, our store leaders gathered for the ‘I am better’ conferences – an opportunity to enhance Medibank’s commitment to our people, our business and our customers. We are proud faces of the Medibank brand!

In May, Medibank hosted the ‘I am better’ Retail conferences in Melbourne and Sydney, bringing together store team leaders and senior team members from across Australia.

Led by General Manager of Retail, Theo Sarantopoulos – and featuring forums with senior leaders from across Medibank – the conferences offered an opportunity to focus on the successes and challenges in making things simpler and better for our customers.

Joining over 150 representatives from Medibank’s largest customer-facing channel were Chief Operating Officer David Koczkar, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Linda Swan – together with General Managers Fiona Le Brocq (Brand & Marketing), Harriet Wakelam (Customer Experience) – and DGM PHI Portfolio, Jonathan Spiers.

In praising the contribution of our store teams, GM Theo said the aim of the conference was to develop a shared understanding of the key focus area’s for Medibank and the Retail business and how that can be brought to life by our stores.

“Our Retail vision is to be trusted partners with our customers on their health and life journey,” said Theo.

“That means having a true customer focus, building an engaged and commercial culture, and empowering our store team leaders to take these insights back to their stores – helping our team members grow and to make strong contributions to Medibank.”

Celebrating success was also on the agenda, with a dinner to recognise our store teams’ contribution to the growth and future of Medibank, with over 30 teams recognised for leading performance in these areas.
