Marked annually across Australia between the first and second Sundays in July, NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee) Week is an opportunity to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We also recognise the contribution that Indigenous leaders, communities and individuals make to the ongoing strength of our nation.
Coinciding with this years’ celebrations, Medibank will release the public report on its 2014-2016 Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), that set out 22 actions we committed to and achieved to drive greater momentum towards reconciliation between Indigenous and other Australians.
Connecting our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees from across the business we are also launching Medibank’s Indigenous Employee Network this week to enable Indigenous employees to connect on a regular basis for development and networking.
